Venezuela dictator Chavez is threatening to cut off oil sales to the United States. Our considered response to this threat is to produce more ethanol from food crops, a joke.We obviously cannot succumb to Chavez blackmail. Our legislators , however have genuflected to the environmental greenmail, which has rendered us vulnerable to Chavez and his ilk, by prohibitng oil exploration in Alaska and off shore.
