childrens eyesight at risk

The American Opthamologic Association has issued a warning that children's eyesight is at risk due to exposure to red and green lights. It seems that alternate exposure to these colored lights causes confusion in color transmission to the brain from the percieving rods and cones of the eye. The Association is suggesting that traffic light colors could be changed to blue and red, or green and orange to avoid the repitative red green effect.
