All the democrat candidates are united in one cause, that we decrease our reliance on foreign oil. They are also united in refusing to allow drilling in the arctic or off the coasts. They are united in pushing ethanol as fuel, wind power , etc. in spite of the many learned studies showing the futility of of these panaceas . They are united against nuclear power and clean coal plants. They are united against common sense solutions to dependence on foreign oil. They are pandering to perceived public opinion while our vulnerability to oil blackmail by Venezuela, Iran , and Indonesia increases and China continues to deal for more oil. This is abominable , incidentaly, most of the republican candidates also refuse to address the issue realisticly. A pox on both their houses.
